TIP 1: NAVIGATING YOUR TAMAGOTCHI DEVICE
Tamagotchi Connection With Four Buttons Instructions Pdf
If your Tamagotchi connection has not found a compatible mate by the time it reaches 7-10 years old (7-10 days in real time) then Mrs. Busybody will come along and suggest a mate. Reject her suggested mate too many times and your Tamagotchi will become a lonely old singleton. The Tamagotchi Connection Version 4.5, or the JinseiPlus in the UK, is the newest Tamagotchi released outside of Japan. It's a Tamagotchi based on the V4, but with new and updated features. Featuring many new characters, it is a remake of the 'Ura Jinsei Enjoy' Tamagotchi, released only in Japan. The Tamagotchi (Japanese: たまごっち, IPA: tamaɡotꜜtɕi) is a handheld digital pet that was created in Japan by Akihiro Yokoi of WiZ and Aki Maita of Bandai. It was released by Bandai on November 23, 1996 in Japan and on May 1, 1997 in the rest of the world, quickly becoming one of the biggest toy fads of the late 1990s and the early 2000s. As of 2010, over 76 million Tamagotchis had.
Once you’ve “hatched” your Tamagotchi character you’ll be ready to learn all the necessary tips and tricks so your Tamagotchi character can live its best life! Before jumping in, let’s make sure you know which buttons do what. Button ‘A’, will bring up your settings and act as your navigation tool to scroll through the options. Button ‘B’ will be your selecting tool. Button ‘C’ will be your tool to exit or go back to the previous option/screen. Remember, the lifecycle of your Tamagotchi character is entirely dependent on how well you care for it, so keep an eye out for more Tamagotchi Tips and Tricks blog posts.
TIP 2: KEEPING UP WITH YOUR TAMAGOTCHI
Happiness and Hunger Check: A simple way to check if your Tamagotchi character is happy, is if the happy meter is full and if it’s not, keep reading to learn how you can keep your Tamagotchi character happy and satisfied. That said, don’t let your Tamagotchi character get too hungry – this may also affect its happiness.
Happy and Hungry Meter: You can use the hunger meter to check if it’s time to feed your Tamagotchi character. Continue reading to find out how to do so! Press ‘A’ to open up the menu page, select PROFILE SETTING by pressing ‘A’, pressing ‘A’ again to select PROFILE, and pressing ‘A’ once more to view both the Happy and Hungry Meters!
Biology: 1 Earth Day = 1 Tamagotchi Year. Your Tamagotchi character will change several times before reaching its adult form. The shape and personality of each Tamagotchi character is based on how well you take care of it! If you take extra good care of your Tamagotchi character the older it will get, and more extensive your family tree may become! Otherwise, it will die, and you will need to start all over again.
TIP 3: KEEPING YOUR TAMAGOTCHI HEALTHY
FEED: We all need to eat, our Tamagotchi character included! To feed your Tamagotchi character press ‘A’ until a knife and fork appear and press ‘A’ again to decide between going to the FRIDGE or RESTAURANT. Under both options, you can choose between a MEAL or SNACK for your Tamagotchi character. Once you make your decision, Press ‘B’ to feed your Tamagotchi character. If you’re up for an adventure, you can also visit other TOWNS to grab food to bring back to your Tamagotchi character’s FRIDGE. Be careful though you don’t want to overfeed your Tamagotchi character!

TOILET: Just like us, your Tamagotchi character needs to go to the bathroom, and it’s your job to clean it up or else your Tamagotchi character will get sick! Press ‘A’ button until the BATHROOM icon is highlighted, then press ‘B’ to go before it poops in your living room! Don’t you worry – they will do a little potty dance before having an accident so keep an eye on them to avoid a mess! If they do end up having an accident, choose BATHROOM again and a broom will appear to clean up their mess.

PLAY: Press ‘A’ until a knife and fork appear and press ‘A’ again to then decide between FRIDGE or RESTAURANT. Under each option, you can choose between getting a snack or a meal for your Tamagotchi character.
TIP 5: WHAT EVERY TAMAGOTCHI PARENT SHOULD KNOW
Time Function: When you need to know the time, just press ‘B’ twice!
Pause Function: When you’re really busy, you can leave it at the TAMA HOTEL for babysitting for 10 Gotchi Points per hour! Or if you’re onto your second generation (a My Tama), you can drop them off at their parents’ home!
Reset: To reset, all you need is an object small enough, like a pen or pencil, to press into the little reset button on the back and a new Tamagotchi character egg will appear, ready to hatch. After reset, you can choose CONTINUE or RESET ALL
Sound: For a little peace and quiet, you can turn off the sound on your Tamagotchi device by going to your PROFILE, selecting SETTINGS, clicking on SOUNDS and toggle sound ON or OFF!
Battery: Loosen the screw on the back and take out the old batteries. Then insert 2 new AAA batteries and re-screw the back cover. Once that’s done, you’ll hear your Tamagotchi On turn back on and the screen will let you ‘CONTINUE’ back to where you left off or ‘RESET ALL’ to start all over again. Just make sure to check the time is correct.

Tamagotchi Instructions
Instruction Comments and Tips
We have heard from hundreds of virtual pet users who have lost their instructions or never had them to start with. Below are some tips concerning the instructions themselves.
Tip #1- Many virtual pets are packaged on a plastic wrapped 'card' in the stores. The heavy paper card is normally folded over from top to bottom and the instructions are printed on a slip of paper that is between the card halves. We open the packages by using a pair of scissors to cut off the plastic that extends below the bottom edge of the 'card'. This allows us to 'split apart' the two halves of plastic and get the pet out the bottom. Next, we reach up between the two pieces of the 'card' and pull out the instructions. Many, many people have thrown away the card, not realizing the instructions are inside it.Tip #2 - Now that you have the instructions, don't expect them to be a great help. Many of the pets have very poor instructions. They have some translation problems, are difficult to follow, some are in a font too small to read or poorly copied and many are incomplete.
Tip #3 - If you are an adult and a little concerned about 'burning your child's ears' you might want to read them first, especially the section about cleaning up after the pet. The instructions for several of the pets primarily used in Japan or early versions instructions for U.S. pets often use the 's' word in refering to body waste.
Tip #4 If you cannot find your pet in the list of instructions above, find the instructions for a similar pet. Most of the pets are very similar. Look first for a pet by the same manufacturer, if that is not available, look for a similar animal (dog, cat, etc). Those instructions should help you get started.
Tip #5 Some of the sites and scans of instructions linked to above are a bit hard to read. You might be ableto read them better on a larger monitor.
