Ruger Red Label Serial Number History July 14th, 2013, 03:55 PM #3. This is a discussion on Ruger Red Label within the Ruger Shotguns. Given the worrying accuracy numbers Glocks have in this game, John is relieved to see that the Chimano Compact stands on the same adequate level as the Signature.40. Joined: Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:55 pm. I started looking at my Ruger Red Label 26' O/U and noticed the serial number as 411-71000. Is there anything special by having the serial number ending in 71000? Not expecting anything unusual, but to hit the serial number right at 71000 took me by surprise. I'm trying to keep up with what how many NEW Red Labels are being made and would appreciate it if everyone would post the highest numbers they have seen. The Ruger site says they were up to around 412-03200 at the beginning of the year. STANDARD MODEL MARK II RUGER 22/45 MODEL SINGLE SIX ENGRAVED SERIES HAWKEYE SERIES. With appreciation for any leads.......... Rob Harris

Is there a serial number or date of manufacture cutoff separating the two? _________________ We inda bidness of killin' mocassins, and cousin, bidness izza boomin'!!!!

The one I have is a second year production 20 ga. with the blued receiver, still fully functional, but nothing lasts forever other than a bad reputation. Sugar River - I was told at one time that the factory was not repairing the earlier guns, but I've no knowledge if it includes all 'Red Labels' at this point. A call to the factory would likely clear it up, but am primarily looking for qualified 'smiths' with access to Ruger parts, should I need one. All Best, Rob

I have read that they will service just about any double under the sun. https://connecticutshotgun.co _________________ 'It ain't who shoots first and it ain't who shoots most; it's who HITS first.
